The Area we cover
Gary first started in Arboriculture in 2009 at Riseholme college. He undertook the level 2 course and gained a distinction, he then went onto complete the level 3 course where he gained a merit and top practical student.
Since then he has progressed hugely in gaining qualifications and experience. He spent 2 years subcontract climbing from which he gained a wealth of experience, knowledge and contacts. Since then he has been gaining more and more domestic and commercial clients.
He currently holds many qualifications including:
• NPTC
o Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting
o Felling small trees
o Felling medium and large trees
o Climb trees and perform aerial rescue
Use of chainsaw from a rope and harness
o Aerial tree pruning
o Dismantling and rigging
o Single and multiple windblown trees
o Wood chipper
• NPTC Utilities
o Basic electrical knowledge
o Use of insulated rods for pruning
o Felling and ground pruning
o Aerial pruning
• Level 2 in manual handling
• Level 2 in emergency first aid at work
• DMQ Level 1
All of our staff are trained and qualified to a simlar level, some bring aditinal qualifications and experience such as Forest Machine Operators Certificate Scheme, Spraying and chemical application certificates along with a welath of forestry knowledge and experience.
